Magento Connect Manager cannot receive package

I tried installing this extension in my magento store:

http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/facebookfreebelvv-4448.html

The console said that it was installed normally, but it can not be found anywhere in the admin panel or anywhere in directories, as far as I can tell. I dug through all the usual spots for XML files and modules.

Now when I go to Magento Connect Manager, he says in Manage Installed Extensions:

Unable to get package: 'facebookfreebelvg'

and does not show any of my installed extensions.

Where does Magento Connect Manager get information about installed extensions? I am inclined to have it add information to xml somewhere, but none of the files actually exist.

I tried to reload the backup that I made from the bootloader, but it still talks about it, so I don’t think it is in the bootloader folder anywhere.

Alternatively, is there a way to force reinstall the extension?

After you came across permissions and looked absolutely everywhere for any remaining files, I decided to write them down. If you ask me, the bootloader will be implemented poorly.

I just install all my extensions manually. Anyway, I prefer that.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

If the extension has been downloaded, it must be in a hidden directory

Loader / .cache / community /

, Magento, .cache .

p.s. .
