A specific IDE for specific things

I need an IDE that can do the following:

  • Running on an old laptop (2 GB Ram, 1.9 GHz intel celeron M)
  • Work well on an old laptop (open open)
  • Be able to run on Windows
  • Possibility of a smooth transition to windows
  • Able to do Java (or if you really can't find anything, C # will be fine)
  • An extension or something for Python would be nice
  • Django support would be awesome
  • It would be great to have SFTP / FTP support that really works

I don’t need much extensibility or commercial support or a kitchen sink or something like that, I just need it to be stable and all of the above.

And, Vim or EMACS do not respond, because they (in my opinion, without excessive configuration) do not qualify as IDEs.

And if that doesn't apply to us, tell me.

EDIT: Copying completed is also important.

Eclipse with the PyDev plugin gives you Java, Python, and Django. Not sure about SFTP / FTP editing.

notepad ++ has an ftp plugin that works very well and works on a very small resource. The syntax will highlight most languages and has some compiler support.

In a completely contrived example: If you lose 1 hour of productivity per day, 5 days a week, for 48 weeks a year, this amounts to 240 hours. Even if you work with a minimum wage of, say, $ 10 per hour, that means $ 2,400 has lost productivity.

Take what you lose in productivity and reinvest it in solving these problems.
