Component Library with JSF Project

I look forward to using the component library (possibly rich or simple) using JSF to develop a social application interface.

I need to know:

1.) how far you can customize the appearance of each individual component, regardless of the choice of one theme for all components. Is it possible to use CSS with these components.

2.) Can I use libraries of several components (depending on which components I need) in one project?

3). Any suggestions on choosing a component library are also welcome!

EDIT

4.) Are there visual editors to develop an interface with these libraries? I am currently using the NetBeans 6.9 IDE.

I love Primefaces because they have probably the largest and some of the most functional components. It requires a litle setup, but you can also use other component libraries using Primefaces.

Be prepared though for many problems. However, there are many mistakes, if you are good at javascript and CSS and have an understanding of the JSF level at the beginner level, then you should not have problems with their work. Just be prepared to implement a couple of smelly hacks to meet some requirements.

Despite these problems, I notice that it is becoming more stable with each release, so it will only improve from here.
