Compromises for using soft swaps in GWT?

I am studying the use of soft permutations in my GWT assembly, because the total file system size of the compiled application is important to me (read: the sum of all permutations). In addition to increasing the size of the file that the user downloads, and the potential performance of the execution is reduced, are there any other disadvantages in using soft permutations? Any loss of localization function (number formatting, etc.)?

To clarify, this is what I call soft permutations.
