How well does SCM import from SourceSafe?

I appreciate SCM for a potential move from SourceSafe. Plastic SCM makes a good impression. I saw that he has an importer from SourceSafe, but he could not find much information about how he handles some of the VSS specifications, namely "General Files". Does anyone have experience with this particular aspect or this migration in general?

Once you move away from VSS, you will find that the concept of “shared files” does not exist “as is” on other systems.
