Python Twitter stats

I need to get the number of people who followed a specific account by month, as well as the number of people who canceled one account by month, the total number of tweets by month and the total number of times, the account on Twitter was changed by month.

I use python for this and installed a python twitter, but since the documentation is pretty scarce, I have to make a lot of guesswork. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction? I was able to get authentication using OAuth, so this is not a problem, I just need help getting those numbers.
