Java using JDBC - Too many connections?

I am writing a replenishment system for a bar as my last project. I can get information from the MYSQL database, and I can scroll one result at a time.

I am trying to change the results depending on the selected category. I managed to use the combo box to achieve this, but when moving between categories I get the following error:

An exception in the stream "main" com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException: the data source rejected the connection, the message from the server: "Too many connections"
