I have an MVC 3 application that gives me error 401 when I try to access it from a remote server, but when I launch it from my local computer, it starts with an error.
On the remote server, IIS 7 is configured to allow both forms and anonymous access and successfully serves static files (content files) only when trying to access the MVC application that I receive.
When I switch to the MVC application, I get a prompt saying: "Windows Security - the server requires a username and password. Warning: this server requests that your username and password be sent insecurely (basic authentication without a secure connection).
I tried to enter all the passwords that I can think of, and nothing gives me access.
When I click Cancel, I get a server error message that says: "401 -" Unauthorized ": access is denied due to invalid credentials. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using credentials that you provided. " and I am redirected to the pageLogOn
My Web.config file looks like this:

What are all the problems that can lead to the return of 401 errors from the server? Could this be a database connection to a server or tables aspnet_*?
