I am a developer in Singapore and my company (Singapore company) has registered as a Google Play developer.
According to Google (https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=150324&topic=15867&ctx=topic and http://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer /bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=113468 ) I have the right to sell paid apps on Google Play because my country, Singapore, is listed there.
The instructions clearly state that:
1) The Google Checkout account that I need to associate with the Google Play developer account can only be linked once from the developer account interface.
2) If you are interested in selling low-cost applications, you also need to register as a Google Checkout seller. To do this on the Google Play publisher’s site, I need to go to the Google Play Developer Console for Android at https://play.google.com/apps/publish/ , click "Edit Profile" and select "Set up a seller account on Google Checkout. "
However, when I went to the Google Play Developer Console and click "edit profile", I don’t see the link so that I can link my Google Play Developer Account with Google Checkout. Also, I see no way to create a new account, and then link it . If I try to set up a Google account myself, i.e. A "classic" account, it gives me only 2 countries as an option - the UK and the USA (none of which are in my company).
Any ideas on how I can get around this? I emailed Google Play support, but was surprised that they could not solve it for me.
