Can I run PiP (picture-in-picture) on Google TV with a command?

I am trying to figure out how to run the picture-in-picture function on Google TV using a software command, and not from a button on the remote control. As far as I can tell, there is nothing in the API that would allow me to do this right now. So, 2 questions:

  • Has anyone tried to hack for this to happen? If so, can you share?
  • Does anyone know if Google plans to add this to the API?

No, you can’t. No plans. Unfortunately.

You can start PIP using Anymote from a mobile device.
