Can I add a track to the iPhone music player from another application?

I know that the answer to this is probably not, but is there a way to add an AAC file to the iPhone music library from another application? The Apple iPod APIs allow you to use the app to use tracks from the library, but I cannot find anything to suggest adding them as well.
