Playframework 2.0 - max_user_connections exceeded during database evolution (with local postgres server)

I have the exact same problem as ( playframework 2.0 - max_user_connections exceeded during database evolution? ) Only this time with a local postgres installation. I have an example application that I selected on the hub @ http://git.io/CdEntA .

I try to run it locally using

sbt stage
target/start -DapplyEvolutions.default=true -Ddb.default.driver=org.postgresql.Driver -  Ddb.default.url="jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/test?user=myuser"

When I run http: // localhost: 9000 , all I see on the console is ...

When I look at the database, I see that all connections are actually used by the process.
