PHP server for receiving data from an Android application

I am new to communication. Just tried to periodically get some data from the Android application. But somehow it doesn’t work .. They wrote a PHP script. Do I need to add something else ..? Do I need to add any permissions to androidmanifest ..? I also give the application code for Android. It closes when I click on my location.

Php script

<?php
echo 'Hello, world!';
$json = $_GET['jsonpost'];//get the post you sent...
$data = json_decode($json); //decode the json formatted string...
print_r($data);
$id = $data->id;
$devid = $data->devid;
$latitude = $data->latitude;
$longitude = $data->longitude;
$service = $data->service;
$con = mysql_connect("","","");
if (!$con)
  {
  die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error());
  }
mysql_select_db("a5234826_ul", $con);
$devid = $_POST['devid'];
$latitude = $_POST['latitude'];
$longitude = $_POST['longitude'];
echo "devid" +$devid;
echo "latitude" + $latitude;
echo "longitude" + $longitude;
$sql = "INSERT INTO  `a5234826_ul`.`locations` (
`id` ,
`devid` ,
`latitude` ,
`longitude` ,
`service`
)
VALUES (
NULL ,  '$devid',  '$latitude',  '$longitude', '$service'
)";
if (!mysql_query($sql,$con))
  {
  die('Error: ' . mysql_error());
  }
mysql_close($con);
echo json_encode($variable);

?>

I do not see any PHP code accepting data POST. I wrote similar applications where I send data to the server and write it to the database. Usually I have a script where I accept data POSTand use the values from this. You must use the method POSTin the Android SDK to send data to a URL. This is easier than sending data using JSONand then decoding to the end of PHP. If I need to get data from the server, I return the values as JSON, and then decodes it on Android using the SDK.
