Smoothing fonts in Google Chrome

I am trying to turn my icons into font characters.

Now the problem is font smoothing in Google Chrome on Windows 7 (it looks good on OS X). I took two shots, where on the first you see the desired behavior, as shown on Firefox / Windows 7 and all other browsers except Google Chrome, which is the second shot. Is this a problem in the font itself? Or is it due to system settings? Is this in CSS settings?
