Bluetooth SPP on Galaxy Note 2.3.6

I am having problems with bluetooth SPP on a Samsung Galaxy Note with Android 2.3.6 - it works for a while, but suddenly the connection stops - it works continuously on other phones. Here is the part of the journal where this happens

The problem was that I did subsequent reads-reads too often without data. Although this works well on most phones (reading simply returns 0 bytes) - it fails on some Samsung phones - the solution should check through the available () if there is actually data before doing the reading.
