Shortcut Javafx 2

When I select the area of the chart, my zoom gets a "small switch". In the example, if you select from mark 3 to mark 6, I get both the lower border: 3.67 and the upper border 6.74.

How to fix it?

Any help really appreciated.

You have attached a mouse event to an episode. Thus, mouseEvent.getX()it gives you the coordinates relative to the scene. But your formula uses them as coordinates relative to xAxisnode. You must consider the location xAxison the stage.

Introduce the following method:

// summ layout shift against parent until we ascend to scene
private static double getSceneShift(Node node) {
    double shift = 0;
    do {
        shift += node.getLayoutX();
        node = node.getParent();
    } while (node != null);
    return shift;
}

and change your calculations accordingly:

        double xAxisShift = getSceneShift(xAxis);
        newXlower = ((rectinitX.get() - xAxisShift) / Tgap) + xAxis.getLowerBound();
        newXupper = ((rectX.get() - xAxisShift) / Tgap) + xAxis.getLowerBound();
