IOS app to unlock sleep / conversation?

The usual way to unlock your iphone after waking up is to enter a four-digit code. Does Apple offer some kind of iOS method to replace this unlock screen with a custom programmed one?

I would like to replace the 4-bit unlock mechanism with the android-style connect-the-points unlock method. Thus, when the user wakes up the device, the user must connect the dots instead of entering a four-digit code.

Does anyone know if this is technically possible, and if allowed by Apple?
