Installing SSRS 2008 and SSRS 2012 violates SSRS 2008

SSRS 2008 has been operating normally for a long time.

We installed SSRS 2012 on the same server and seem to have broken the mode of sharepoint SSRS 2008 a bit.

All .rdl and .rsds files are no longer "associated" with the server. When you click on a report, it downloads these files instead of executing / displaying reports. (Icons are also changed to "blank document"). Settings have not been changed. i.e.
Allow content type management? Yes, etc.

When you go to the server and go to Configuration Tools → Configuration Manager Configuration Manager, it will no longer recognize the server name (invalid namespace).

Any ideas on how to make it work again?

You must make sure that you are not using the same ports. The default port is 80. Have you changed this?
