Did you use LinkedIn PhoneGap or Trigger.IO for your iPhone app?

I continue to read all of these articles, as LinkedIn used node.js and backbone.js to create its mobile application.

It says that LinkedIn uses only 5% of the phone’s own features. The other 95% were cross-platform HTML, JS, and CSS.

What I do not see in the article is any mention of PhoneGap or trigger.io.

So, how was it found that you can only make your mobile application using javascript and access the "5%" of your own api?
