Excel 2010: replace a table with an external connection without affecting other worksheets

I have a big book with a lot of data. On one sheet I have a table. This table is used for many Pivot tables used in other sheets, which are also used in other sheets.

Data for the table was manually copied regularly. Now I have an external connection for automatically importing data, but I would like to avoid affecting other sheets.

How to use an outer join without losing a table?
