I am looking forward to implementing something like Google’s direct answers that use the knowledge graph, is there any useful resource that I can read? Also Where can I find data for this?

From the semantic web aspect of your question, I assume that an interesting starting point for you is the DBpedia ( sample queries ) dataset, perhaps in combination with the strings in the Wikipedia concepts dataset .
