Create a movie with some server side effects like Facebook backback

I want to create a system like facebook, but I have no idea.

It generates video using some images with some effects.
Do you have any idea that you can create something like this?
Create SWF (Flash) and server-side capture screen?
Or is there something like a useful library that makes an effects movie?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank.
