Should BDD tests be written by OR Testers developers?

Question

In our team, the developers claim that they should not write BDD tests, since BDD tests are automation tests, and the QA team should write.

Is that all they do there? Or do you have developers who write BDD tests?

By the way ... we use the SCRUM methodology for our team. Relationship
