I have an HDMI port on my windows laptop. I often use it as an output port connected to a TV. I need to do the opposite. I would like to know if it is possible to connect other equipment (is it to send video via its own HDMI port) to the port of my port in order to use the screen of my laptop as a display?
The short answer is NO. It is not possible to access the LCD display on a laptop / laptop via the built-in HDMI port. The HDMI port on the laptop / notebook is an output port, not an input port.
