Closing the navigation box after opening another action

So, I implemented a navigation box, and it works great. I have an action bar item that uses use for the next action. When entering the second action, by clicking the action bar icon, if the navigation box is open, it remains open even after the user returns to the first action. I tried to use

drawerLayout.closeDrawer(drawerListView);

after the intention is called, but the following happens, the second action will begin after the animation is completed to close the first activity. This creates a bad user interface and even I don't like it.

So, could I close the drawer after creating the second action? I mean from the second activtiy onCreate or somewhere?

After searching the source for DrawerLayout.java for too long, I found a way. Run this when the user returns to the first action to close the drawer without starting the animation:

Explanation

First find the view that matches the navigation view, this will be the last child of drawerLayout. Set the left position to minus its width (for the left drawer).
